The May Queen exhibition was an exploration of possibilities within the modern floral design space.
An elegant celebration of nature and its uneven perfection from a new perspective.
Liana saw the process of setting up this exhibition as one that involved elements of playfulness and balance, aiming to create an ethereal landscape where the idea what floral design usually is, could be forgotten.
The modified approach to abstraction had prompted a completely different way of looking at floral arrangements. By inviting visitors to not only observe but to also interact with the picturesque scenery; the exhibition brought curious eyes intimately close to the
weightless of those unusual designs.
The inspiration came from the myth of May Queen and what it represents; the exquisiteness and force of nature.
The work aimed to break the rigidity of usual floral art, incorporating movement and directing curious gazes to new possibilities
within the realm of floral design.
